Build UK is partnering with the Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) again this year to bring together contractors, clients and professionals from across the construction industry in an annual sailing regatta. LBCC 2016, which will take place in Cowes on the Isle of Wight from 9 - 10 September, is one of the top sporting events in the industry’s calendar and offers a fantastic networking opportunity.

Over 60 yachts, including at least 10 Build UK members, competed in last year’s event and raised over £20,000 for a number of charities whilst also exchanging business cards and socialising. With a range of charter packages available, LBCC is a great event for both seasoned sailing teams and those looking to join for the first time and will help to increase visibility and contacts within the industry. The entrants from 2015 will be celebrating their success at the annual LBCC Charity Cheque Presentation onTuesday 9 February and we look forward to seeing a number of Build UK members there.

Build UK Director Matt Nicholson, who participated in LBCC 2015, said:

“My business, Lakesmere, was delighted to win its class at LBCC 2015 and our victorious team, which includes Build UK Chief Executive Suzannah Nichol, will be back to compete at the industry’s best networking event in September 2016.“

Further information on LBCC 2016 can be found on the LBCC website. Entries can be made online from 11 April with an early bird discount available until 20 May.
