The Premier Trophy Awards
The Premier Trophy Awards started with the Painting and Decorating Federation in 1988. Following the merger of the PDF with the BDA, the tradition of recognising the best of the best at an annual awards ceremony continued.
Each June in Painter’s Hall, the PDA and its guests celebrate a series of quality projects from around the United Kingdom. Winners have included work in The Grand Opera House in York, the Foreign Office in London, Sellafield nuclear power station, Clifton Suspension Bridge near Bristol, Usher Concert Hall in Edinburgh and the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford.
The judges from the Institute of Clerk of Works are completely independent from the PDA and spend several weeks assessing shortlisted entries before deciding upon both winners and worthy runners up who receive certificates.
